Hello everybody! Albuquerque KTC Tibetan Buddhist Center is very happy to announce that Lama Chopal will be coming May 9-12th to construct a Chenrezig sand mandala with us. The flier is both attached as a pdf and also here. After the puja during the last session on Monday, we take the sand from the dissolved mandala and place it in the river for the benefit of all sentient beings. Usually just before that, we offer khatas (traditional white silk scarves) to the lama, but because it will be a Monday, there may be some people who cannot attend this final ceremony. For those of you who would like to offer a khata to Lama Chopal, but cannot attend the closing session on Monday morning, you may offer it the last session you attend. May all beings have happiness and its cause.
